3 Jigs

March 21, 2020 by Steve

So we are all self isolating and trying to deal with a new world where a virus has us all locked in our homes wondering how to deal with this nonsense and gigs and concerts are all cancelled!

It’s a difficult and challenging time but I am using it to arrange and record some new music for my album.

Here is a group of 3 Irish Jigs I recorded recently (sheet music and tab available in the store).

Hope you enjoy and I will be back soon with more music.

New FREE Backing Track and Tab

May 30, 2019 by Steve

My latest FREE backing track and tab is now available to all my wonderful subscribers from around the world. This time it’s the Jet Harris 1963 classic Man From Nowhere. It has a very cool 60’s moody vibe and featured Jet playing his Fender Bass VI as the lead instrument. It also works nicely on guitar though as you can hear below.

Check out both of my versions

Don’t forget to subscribe to my mailing list to receive your FREE backing track and tab.

New Guitar!!!

December 12, 2018 by Steve

I have been playing some great gigs recently with
The Doo Wop Project (www.thedoowopproject.com) which has meant a bit of flying.
It is always a bit traumatic when traveling with guitars as you never know if you can take them on the plane. I was traveling with 2 guitars this time so gate checked the Strat (It’s in a pretty good case and I have never had a problem) but there was no way I was going to take my $8000 custom Mustapick acoustic with me so I began searching for a travel guitar. I came across this site www.journeyinstruments.com and discovered they did collapsible guitars and were about to put out a new full size grand auditorium guitar. Well, they sent one and I used that. I was completely blown away! It’s a full size instrument with a great sound either acoustical or plugged in and packs into a special bag they give you which fits int the overhead bin. Amazing!! They are well worth checking out. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/journeyinstruments/first-class-overhead-collapsible-travel-guitars?ref=d0ohpx
